25 mm Cannon

Homemade grenade launcher/ Mortar.

Ok so in this post I will teach you how to make a home made grenade launcher.

WARNING: EXPERIENCED USERS ONLY

Supplies you will need:

  1. Thick metal pipe at least 3 feet long. 20-25mm wide opening. Have rivets on one end to screw on block.
  2. Wide pipe to fit over the first pipe (incase of pipe rupture, protect you from shrapnel) Note: never happened to me but there is the risk.
  3. gunpowder (very fine powder, don't use pellets)
  4. Cannonfuse
  5. projectile (marble, carved wood, metal shot, anything hard that fits snug in the barrel.
  6. Rod (to compact gunpowder and ram shot down the barrel)
Now there are 2 ways you can do this.
  1. Barrel breach fuse. Which means you plug the barrel with only 3" of space for gunpowder and the projectile. Once you have the powder in you put the projectile AND the fuse in the opening. This way the projectile actually sticks out of the barrel. Similar to a Panzerfaust or RPG. (This is what mine is). So when ready to fire you light the fuse from the muzzle
  2. drill a whole within 1" of the rear of the pipe or in the back for a fuse. Pour the powder down the barrel and push the projectile all the way down the barrel like a musket. When ready to fire just light the fuse. as get a good distance from it.
My Cannon Below.
Now to dissect it
1. main Barrel (actual cannon) 5" Tube for powder
2. second tube, for recoil and shrapnel preventer
3. Outer tube, For shoulder fire, and extra shrapnel protection
4. Ram Rod
5. Gunpowder
6. Projectile. (fuse enters on side and exits into the barrel)
7. Fuse
"I know theres a lot of precaution steps here but safety first"

Closer Look
Loaded and ready to fire (minus outer tube) "with locations of everything"

NOW LETS FIRE IT! "VIDEO"

Then FIRE!
